In March 1942, 999 young Jewish women boarded a train in Slovakia believing they were going to work in a factory, reporting eagerly for state service. Instead, the women—many of them teenagers—arrived in Auschwitz. Their government paid $200 apiece for the Nazis to remove them for enslavement. Only a few survived. This is their story. Guests join from JSDD group homes, other group homes, and/or private familial settings. A one hour service includes an adapted hands-on prayerbook.
