Jewish-French entertainer Gad Elmaleh (one of France’s best-loved comedians) cowrote, directed, and stars in this comedy of spiritual discovery that blends fiction and autobiography. Undergoing a crisis of faith, the actor-comedian returns home to Paris. When his bewildered parents (portrayed by Elmaleh’s actual mother and father) discover a figurine of the Virgin Mary in his suitcase, he admits he is planning to be baptized a Catholic. Gad’s family and friends balk at this revelation, and he struggles to make them understand his sincere beliefs while grappling with his own uncertainties. This (maybe) true story probes difficult questions with warm humor.

We support and #StandWithIsrael as we continue to build a strong Jewish community here in NJ
