Meet Our 2025 Advancing Interfaith Allyship Grantees

JCRC"s Advancing Interfaith Allyship Grantees are announced.

The Jewish Community Relations Council’s (JCRC) Advancing Interfaith Allyship Grant committee awards microgrants of up to $1,000 to support programming in the areas of education, engagement, service or advocacy to foster partnerships with the Jewish community.

The program must be implemented by two or more faith institutions, ethnic groups, or organizations—it can be built around religious or national holidays, service opportunities, or programming related to local events or issues. We know by fostering more interfaith connections, we enhance understanding, and with greater understanding comes stronger allyship.

We are thrilled to announce our 2025 Advancing Interfaith Allyship grantees:


Congregation Beth Hatikvah and Fountain Baptist (Summit) for The Fountain of Hope Storytelling project that creates community connections though storytelling

Temple Shalom (Succasunna) for an Interfaith Passover Seder for houses of worship in Roxbury that will utilize an interfaith Haggadah.

Temple B’nai Or (Morristown) for Morris Area Interfaith Earth Day Celebration at the Grown it Green Morristown Urban Farm

Temple Beth Shalom, the Livingston Chinese Association and Namaste Global (Livingston) for a series of programs, including a Lunar New Year/Havdalah ceremony, a Diwali (High Tea) and Havdalah gathering, and a special program celebrating Chinese and Jewish music

Kingdom of Life Covenant Embassy (Union County) for an interfaith prayer breakfast/empowerment session that includes area synagogues, churches and mosques.

Temple Sholom (Scotch Plains); Fanwood Presbyterian Church (Fanwood); St. John’s Baptist Church (Scotch Plains); Mount Saint Mary House of Prayer (Watchung); and Muslim Community Center of Union County (Elizabeth) for an “Edible Traditions” program that brings together five faith communities to learn about the traditional foods eaten at their respective holidays

Congregation Beth Hatikvah (Summit) and Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township for a partnership that includes a religious service exchange and a dialogue event

Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopalian Church (Millburn) and Ahavas Sholom (Newark) for a hybrid storytelling program that will provide churches and synagogues with transformative Black-Jewish experiences

Temple Ner Tamid (Montclair) and Peace Islands Institute (Northern Essex County) for a Muslim/Jewish iftar break-fast during Ramadan

Westfield Jewish Heritage Project for a program to bring Jewish content to the Westfield Memorial Library and all Westfield public school libraries to foster interfaith dialogue
