Our National and Global Partners

Klal Yisrael (we are all one Israel) is a group effort

During times of crisis and times of peace, the global Jewish community, including those in Israel and throughout the diaspora, must stand together in support of one another. This is much more than one Federation can manage.

In response to threatening events of the 20th century, a number of global non-governmental organizations were established to help Jews in crisis around the world. This network of relief services remains at-the-ready around the world, able to respond swiftly and effectively when needed.

Your gift to the UJA Annual Campaign enables us to contribute funds each year to support the efforts of our partners, the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), World ORT, and others, saving thousands of innocent lives and build Jewish community around the world.

Jewish Federations’ Response in Israel: Our Impact Since October 7

Date:
We deepen Jewish identity and strengthen Jewish community locally and globally and are committed to creating a shared space for our diverse Jewish community where all feel safe and valued.

Each year, our board’s Israel & Overseas Allocations Committee partners with our steering committee in Israel to determine how to distribute significant funds raised through the UJA Annual Campaign to our three core overseas partners as well as to dozens of smaller NGOs that provide critical services to Jews in Israel and around the world.

For the 2025 campaign year we’ve allocated $1.3 million each to JDC and JAFI and more than $800,000 to World ORT for them to use at their own discretion in their work to build Jewish community and save lives throughout the world. These agencies have extensive networks that are already on the ground and are uniquely positioned to provide emergency services when required.

The partnership doesn’t end there, though. We participate in numerous programs they offer, including JAFI’s mishlachat program bringing Israeli emissaries to our community each year, and JAFI’s Partnership2Gether programs that match the Greater MetroWest Jewish community with our Israel and Overseas Partnership Network. Our partner community in Cherkassy, Ukraine, is a joint effort with the JDC.
