Jewish Communal Professionals Grant

The Day School Initiative is thrilled to announce the establishment of a grant for Jewish Communal professionals working at our Federation and our Foundation toward the cost of day school tuition for dependent children. Thanks to the generosity of the Gottesman Family Supporting Foundation, we are the first in the country to support Federation and Foundation employees with this type of grant.

Applications are open immediately for school year 2024-2025.

Qualifying information and details:

  • Any salaried employee of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest or Jewish Community Foundation of GMW as of September 1, 2024 will be eligible.
  • Employees must work a minimum of 20 hours/week. Grants will be pro-rated accordingly.
  • Family must register at one of our local GMW Jewish Day Schools beginning September 2024.
  • Employees who leave Federation/Foundation before the summation of the school year, and after a grant has been released, will have their grant reassessed.
  • Families must meet all the requirements of school registration. This grant is awarded through a reduction in tuition fees in or around October, after tuition has been adjusted by the school for any scholarship and middle-income grants, including our community-wide Tuition MAX program.
  • The Jewish Communal Professionals (JCP) grant is available to families who are enrolling children in ECC3 to 12th grade.
  • For the 2024-2025 school year, employees may qualify for up to three grants per family.
  • The Day School Initiative and Council reserves the right to award and restrict grants for any credible reason.
  • Families may take advantage of the Jewish Communal Professionals Grant or the Smart Move/Smart Switch Grant, but not both. Families may take advantage of Right Start and JCP Grants simultaneously.
  • As a recipient of this Jewish Communal Professionals Grant, employees will be required to complete multiple volunteer hours in support of the Day School Initiative by June 30, 2025. We will be in touch in the fall with volunteer opportunities.
