A traditional Rosh Hashanah greeting is for a sweet year—Shana Tova U’metuka. This year, 5785, is clearly not a normal one, so I would like to modify my blessings for all our Federation staff and our Greater MetroWest community.
In addition to more sweetness and good health, I want to wish everyone continued strength.
As I assume the position of CEO at this amazing Federation, and because of my extensive experience of involvement over the past 20 years, I am confident that our path is clear, and our leadership is well positioned. Some of our challenges are significant but we have the teams in place—both within Federation and at our partner agencies—to meet those challenges head on and keep the momentum of the past 12 months going. This is, however, going to require strength and endurance.
If there is anything that we have collectively learned over the past five years, as one “iceberg” after another crashed into our world, it is that we have the people, abilities and resources to move us forward to better times. I start my new position with confidence and excitement about the good times ahead for Greater MetroWest, our partners in Israel and around the globe.
