It was a dreary and wet morning, but we brought smiles and warmth to the clients of JFS Central NJ. A group of 18 leaders from our Federation Corporate Partner, Valley Bank came out to volunteer at our partner agency Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Central New Jersey in their kosher food pantry.
This dedicated group of professionals packed over 125 bags of essential food and produce, welcomed Union County clients, struck up conversations, and (of course) distributed much needed food. They also managed the holiday boutique where clients were invited to select cold weather clothing and toys for their children. So many beautiful hand-knit items were distributed! They worked together as a team, laughed, had fun and got the job done and made a true difference.
Thank you to all from the team at Valley Bank who joined us for this meaningful morning of giving back and being there for people in our NJ community! And special thanks to the Center for Volunteerism for coordinating this important event.
