With Rebecca Hindin, Director, Greater MetroWest Day School Initiative
The Greater MetroWest community is blessed to have almost 1,000 talented, passionate, and dedicated teachers throughout our Jewish day schools and early childhood centers. Every day they greet our children with warm smiles and positive energy and create classroom spaces where children can learn and grow and thrive.
We have been incredibly inspired by the work of each teacher in our community this year. From expanding children’s Hebrew vocabulary in a Hebrew Immersion classroom to giving them the tools to express their feelings using Social & Emotional curriculum. Each week our teachers bring to life Torah stories and authentically connect science and literacy to the Jewish holidays. Jewish values infuse their classrooms, and they are helping prepare our children to become contributing members of our community.
In partnership with the schools, Federation is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week by giving every GMW teacher a gift! This is one small way we can express our gratitude for the incredible work they do every day. The gifts are being distributed throughout the week, and those who have already received them have shared how grateful they are.
Frumie Bogomilsky, Director of KinderGan at Maplewood Jewish Center, shared, “Thank you for all that you do for our preschool community. Our staff felt so appreciated!”
Tammy Anagnostis, Dean of Faculty, Lower School, at Golda Och Academy, wrote, “Thank you. This is such a nice gesture. We always appreciate our partnership with Federation.”
While our teachers deserve to be celebrated every week of the year, we are thrilled to be shouting from the rooftops this week how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication. Happy Teachers Appreciation Week to all of our teachers!
