Join Rabbi Ari Saks for a four-session learning series on the role of Jewish grandparents in interfaith families. This small-group experience (limited to 10 households) will explore rabbinic teachings and biblical wisdom to help create a meaningful, inclusive family culture. Sessions include:
- My Child Chose a Spouse – Explore the emotions of seeing your child marry someone of a different faith. This session draws on Fiddler on the Roof and the story of Samson and Delilah.
- Relating to My Relatives – Examine relationships with your child’s in-laws through the lens of Moses and his father-in-law, Jethro.
- Connecting with My Grandchildren – Discuss how to build lasting Jewish connections with your grandchildren, using the Torah’s prohibition of intermarriage and the story of Ruth as key texts.
- Leaving a Lasting Legacy – Reflect on the Jewish traditions, beliefs, and ethics you want to pass down. This session explores the stories of King Solomon and Jewish emancipation in 18th–19th century Europe.
