What happens when you combine comedy, community, and meaningful impact?
In the words of the incredible and hilarious Modi, “PURE MOSHIACH ENERGY!”
He’s talking about that feeling when the world clicks into harmony, when everyone’s laughing together, connected, and alive with possibility. That’s exactly what it felt like at our Opening Event, something Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ has never experienced quite like this before.
From the moment you walked in, it was clear this was something special. It was Federation 360 °, a full-sensory celebration of who we are and what we build together. The room was alive. You could taste the vibrancy at the Israeli shuk, where fresh flavors and local beer tastings drew people together. You could hear the hum of conversation, laughter, and live music filling the air. You could see the colors, the smiles, and the feeling of connection on every face. Everywhere you turned, there was warmth, curiosity, and genuine joy.
Comedian, actor, and podcast host Modi Rosenfeld joined Jewish scholar Dr. Mijal Bitton for a conversation that was hilarious, unscripted, and deeply human, a blend of insight and laughter that reminded everyone why humor has always been a cornerstone of Jewish resilience and community.

Our new EVP/CEO, Meredith Dragon, inspired us with a powerful message about unity, purpose, and the vibrant Jewish future we’re building together, right here at home and with our extended family in Israel.
And through it all, the heart of Federation shone in the stories shared by two community members. Lauren Kasiarz, the grandchild of Holocaust survivors, spoke about how meaningful it is that Federation helps keep her family’s memories alive through education while creating a sense of belonging for her children. Then Lila Levenson took the stage, describing her experience in the Diller Teen Fellows program, how it deepened her connection to Israel, and gave her the confidence to lead proudly as a young Jewish adult on her college campus.
People like Lauren and Lila are what make Greater MetroWest so powerful.
Because It’s Up to Us to celebrate, to thrive, and to build a community that’s strong and unshakable.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to laugh, learn, and feel the power of showing up for one another.
