The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest and its Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) respect the integrity of Israel’s elections, and the right of its citizens to choose their leaders.
Israeli voters, for the fifth time in three years, have spoken. While we respect the results, we have serious concerns over some of those elected to the Knesset who have made hateful statements antithetical to the values upon which Israel was founded.
As a Jewish Federation deeply invested in Israel, we will continue to advocate for the rights of all Israel’s citizens, to support pluralism, diversity and equal treatment of its minorities and tolerance for all Jews from all streams of Judaism.
We will fight racism and bigotry everywhere as we continue to support Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people, advocate for a strong US-Israel alliance, and work to ensure Israel’s safety and security.
