Together for Shabbat is a special community supper made possible through a grant from the Centennial Shabbat Committee and our Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest N.J This beautiful gathering will take place on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 5 to 7pm and is intended to celebrate the Centennial anniversary of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest.
The evening will bring together the JSDD community (residents, WAE Center members, families, caregivers and staff) in person to celebrate Shabbat. Currently, JSDD’s Judaic Coordinator, Hagit Oren hosts a virtual Shabbat dinner with residents and members; participants sing, recite prayers, and learn about the weekly torah portion. This special event will provide a wonderful opportunity for reflection, friendship, connection in person to celebrate the significance of 100 years of Federation.

“Together for Shabbat” coincides with the start of JDAIM (Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month) making this supper even more meaningful.
The month of February, Heidi Gallery at JSDD will host the exhibit “Wonderful Chaos” highlighting artists from within the JSDD community. During the evening, artists will have the chance to show their work to housemates, family, and caregivers.

JSDD is honored to come together as a group and simultaneously connect with the larger MetroWest community. The Shabbat program and art exhibit will make for an exciting and memorable experience.
