More than 100 years of building an inclusive community and strengthening Jewish identity.

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ convenes and leads our community to ensure the continuity and strength of the Jewish People, to support a secure Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and to care for Jews in need locally and around the world.

As the largest Jewish philanthropy in New Jersey, Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest encompasses Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset County.

Serving as the backbone of the Jewish community, we are uniquely positioned to connect the work of our 27 local and overseas partner agencies.

What we accomplish together, with the help of people like you, is far greater than what one organization or person can achieve alone.

What We Do

We care for people in need. We are a safety net, providing counseling for families in crisis, support services for seniors and for people with disabilities and their families, and career counseling and job placement assistance for the unemployed.

We build vibrant Jewish community. We invest in the future of our Jewish community by helping to make Jewish education and Jewish camping affordable for all families, teaching teens and college students how to stand up for Israel, and connecting people socially and culturally to their heritage in countless ways.

We save the world, responding to crises near and far. We respond to emergencies near and far, from Ukraine to Greater MetroWest NJ.

Inspired by the Jewish values of klal yisrael and tikkun olam — one Jewish people and repairing the world — Federation works to strengthen Jewish community in Greater MetroWest, in Israel, and around the world.
