NJ State Legislators and Jewish Community Leaders Mission to Israel

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is organizing this mission to help our elected officials and community leaders gain a deeper understanding of the current crisis. In just 48 hours on the ground, participants will get a first–hand perspective on what transpired on October 7, meet with some of the people who were most affected (particularly in the southern cities and kibbutzim that are Greater MetroWest’s partners), and learn about the heroic efforts that have been taking place in the aftermath.

Cost: $2,300 per person, land only

Highlights will include:

• A day of travel to our partner communities in the south
• A day of briefings in Jerusalem and meetings with Israeli Jews and Arabs who lost loved ones in the attacks of October 7
• Meetings with the Mayor of Ofakim, one of the southern cities targeted by terrorists; IDF Spokesman, lone soldiers from New Jersey, thought leaders, and the former Deputy Speaker of Israel’s Knesset
• Visits to see some of the destruction of homes and shelters and the volunteer centers where thousands of Israelis are helping support those who’ve lost everything
