Center for Volunteerism

Join Our Mailing List

The Center for Volunteerism provides a variety of service opportunities to care for those in need, strengthen our Jewish community and make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you to those who participated in our Mitzvah of the Moment: Summer Camp Supplies Collection and Packing. With your help, we’re able to provide summer essentials to clients of the MEND Hunger Relief Network of Essex County as well as everything first-time recipients of our Federation need-based camp scholarships will need to have a great camp experience.

Special thanks to those who helped at the packing party and to the young family community members who served as drop-off hosts and helped make the process easy and convenient for participants.

Stay tuned for our next Mitzvah of the Moment, School Supplies packing event, on Tuesday, August 23!

Ukrainian Refugee Resettlement Support

VOLUNTEER INPUT NEEDED! Federation is currently exploring our role in welcoming refugees to New Jersey in the months ahead. In order to determine how best Federation can support these efforts, we are gathering information from volunteers interested in being involved. If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved or possibly “sponsoring” a refugee family, please complete this survey.

As we continue to learn more about the Ukrainian Refugee resettlement process here in the US, we will continue to keep you posted and will reach out directly if we are ready for you to help.
