The Center for Volunteerism provides a variety of service opportunities to care for those in need, strengthen our Jewish community and make a difference in the lives of others.

Mitzvah of the Moment: Thanksgiving Food Drive

With your help, we collected hundreds of Thanksgiving food packages to help community members in need have a hearty Thanksgiving meal. And a special thank you to the synagogues that served as collection sites and mobilized their own collections within their congregations.

Jewish tradition teaches us that we are required to feed the hungry — Federation is committed to helping the community put our values into action and providing for those in need. We are so proud of the 75+ families and 7 synagogues that stepped up to help through this collection.

Ukrainian Refugee Resettlement Support

VOLUNTEER INPUT NEEDED! Federation is currently exploring our role in welcoming refugees to New Jersey in the months ahead. In order to determine how best Federation can support these efforts, we are gathering information from volunteers interested in being involved. If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved or possibly “sponsoring” a refugee family, please complete this survey.

As we continue to learn more about the Ukrainian Refugee resettlement process here in the US, we will continue to keep you posted and will reach out directly if we are ready for you to help.
