Sunday, July 2

Depart USA. Participants are required to make their own flight arrangements. See designated flights

Monday, July 3

  • Arrive in Israel in the morning
  • Opening mega event lunch
  • Touring as we travel North which may include Atlit, Caesarea, Mt. Arbel, Mt. Tabor, and more
  • Check-in at hotels in the North
  • Evening activity at each hotel with dinner, Israeli dancing and music, and more
  • OVERNIGHT: Ramot Resort; The Lake House Hotel; Kibbutz Lavi Hotel

Tuesday, July 4

  • Bus travel day in the North which may include a security briefing, outdoor recreation activity, wine tasting, and an encounter with Federation program participants
  • Touring may include Golan Heights, Tzfat, Beit She’an
  • Evening mega event at Beit Gavriel: 4th of July Celebration
  • Late check-in in Tel Aviv
  • OVERNIGHT: David Intercontinental Hotel or Royal Beach Hotel, Tel Aviv

Wednesday, July 5

  • Partnership visit* to Ofakim, Merchavim, Arad, or Kibbutz Erez: Meet with Israelis who have been touched by the generosity of our community, do hands-on service projects, and more
  • Evening: Celebrate 100 years of Greater MetroWest at the Agam Museum in Rishon LeZion*
  • OVERNIGHT: David Intercontinental Hotel or Royal Beach Hotel, Tel Aviv

Thursday, July 6 — Personal Track Day!

Leave your original bus and join a track that you choose. Tracks will include a visit to the recently renovated and renamed ANU Museum — the Museum of the Jewish People (formerly the Diaspora Museum), plus choices like:

Friday, July 7

  • Take the light rail to Har Herzl (to be confirmed)
  • Ceremony at Har Herzl in the new Hall of Remembrance
  • For first time visitors and all interested: Yad Vashem museum complex
  • For repeat visitors: Har Herzl cemetery; Children’s Memorial and Valley of Lost Communities at Yad Vashem
  • Free time at Machane Yehuda market and on Ben Yehuda Street
  • Kabbalat Shabbat ceremony on the Hulda stairs in the Old City of Jerusalem
  • Visit to the Western Wall
  • Festive Shabbat dinner overlooking the Old City at Beit Shmuel
  • OVERNIGHT: Inbal Hotel or Orient Hotel, Jerusalem

Saturday, July 8

  • Shabbat at leisure in Jerusalem
  • Optional tours and activities including walking tours, biking, Masada and the Dead Sea, museums, graffiti tour, and more
  • Cocktails, Light Bites, and Havdalah at the Tower of David; Stay for the Sound & Light Show
  • Free night to explore Jerusalem

  • Pre-Reflections speaker: Isaac Herzog, President of Israel invited (to be confirmed)
  • JDC/JAFI site visit*
  • Reflections session: your opportunity to share your thoughts and perspectives on the mission experience
  • Jerusalem touring and shopping
  • Farewell Dinner
