Our 30 Interfaith Teen Leaders, representing Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Catholic, Latter-day Saint and other Christian traditions, teamed up for a friendly hummus-making competition. With help from Hillel’s classically trained chef Billie Bloomberg, they put their culinary creativity to the test, whipping up flavors from roasted red pepper to tomato-basil. The challenge gave teens a chance to connect, collaborate and build friendships across faiths—all while kicking off plans for their first community service project: a December collection of cold-weather essentials for those in need.
