Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ are committed to partnering with families to encourage and enable local youth to build Jewish identity. Through generous donors and funds, we provide a variety of grants and scholarships toward engaging and impactful programs that instill a sense of Jewish pride in your children at every age and stage.
The following programs are available for youth that include Judaism as part of their identity in any way, noting that we are a community made stronger by the participation of people of every age, ability, race, ethnicity, denomination, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and religious affiliation.

A Gift of Jewish Books for Children. PJ Library provides every child with their own FREE subscription to age-appropriate children’s books about Jewish holidays and values as a special gift from our community! A new book will arrive each month in an envelope addressed to your child.
Early Childhood Education, a gift of education, community, and belonging for your whole family. GMW Right Start provides a gift voucher toward the cost of tuition for families enrolling their children for the first time at any age level pre-K and below in a Jewish early childhood program.
Jewish Day Schools
The Greater MetroWest Day School Initiative offers The Tuition MAX program which sets a ceiling based on a percentage of income as the maximum amount that eligible middle-income families pay, no matter how many children attend the school.
$1,800 Smart Move Grant for each family making the Smart Move to Greater MetroWest NJ who register at one of our four excellent Jewish day schools.
$1,800 Smart Switch Grant for each family making the Smart Switch from a non-day school (public school, private independent school or home-school environment) to one of our four Greater MetroWest Jewish day schools.
Jewish Camp
One Happy Camper NJ Grant, a gift of up to $1,000 for first-time campers attending any of 160+ Jewish overnight camps or teen programs across North America.
The Rocker Family Overnight Camp Scholarship program enables campers from families with lower incomes or facing extenuating circumstances, who may not otherwise attend Jewish overnight camp, to be able to do so.
A special grant opportunity for Russian Speaking Jewish (RSJ) Families awards a one-time gift of $500 to new campers toward their tuition at Jewish overnight camp.
Teen Travel Grants
Destination: Jewish Service Learning Grant provides up to $800 for teen service-focused programs through JTEEN.
Passport to Israel offers up to $400 from Federation toward teen Israel experiences through Global Connections.
RootOne offers vouchers up to $3,000 for teen Israel experiences (provided by Jewish Education Project).
