Create College Shabbat Starter Kits with Hillel

Community teens are invited to visit a local college Hillel to get an inside look at Jewish life on campus. They’ll meet student leaders, learn how Hillel builds community, and explore what Jewish engagement can look like in a college setting. Together, participants will create and pack “College Shabbat Starter Kits,” which Hillel will distribute to student members in the fall to help them host their own Shabbat gatherings and build Jewish community in their dorms and apartments.
As part of the experience, volunteers will also create a challah cover to take home—bringing a tangible reminder of Jewish identity and connection into their own spaces.
