Progressive Antisemitism: What’s Happening & How to Combat It

Date: Thursday, November 2
Time: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm (EDT)
A location in Millburn

This program is to help high school students and parents understand the current trend of antisemitism coming from the progressive left, and how to combat it. We will be joined by Jewish social media influencer, journalist, and activist Blake Flayton who currently lives in Tel Aviv. In 2019, while a student at George Washington University, he wrote an essay for The New York Times entitled “On the Frontlines of Progressive Anti-Semitism,” and in it stated: I am a young, gay, left-wing Jew. Yet I am called an “apartheid-enabler,” a “baby killer” and a “colonial apologist.”

Blake will talk about the rise of antisemitism in the Diaspora after the October 7 massacre with JCRC Steering Committee member Jordana Horn Gordon.
