Pride Shabbat with Guest Speaker Jennifer Raz

Date: Friday, June 16
Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm (EDT)
Temple B’nai Abraham

Temple B’nai Abraham (TBA) continues our annual tradition of having a Shabbat speader for Pride Month. Jennifer Raz describes her topic as “discussing my own journey as well as my family’s journey in discovering, learning and supporting my transgender child.” She will also speak to the importance of parental and community support of our transgender youth.

Jennifer Raz was born and raised in Livingston, NJ. She is the youngest of three children and comes from a musical family. Jennifer graduated from Livingston High School in 1991 and went on to Penn State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 1995.

After college, Jennifer married her college sweetheart, Steven, and they now have three beautiful children. In addition to her family, Jennifer has a passion for music, yoga, and giving back to her community. She is a certified yoga instructor and continues to practice, finding balance in her busy life.

Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ are proud to support Pride Shabbat!

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is made stronger by the participation of people of every age, ability, race, ethnicity, denomination, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and religious affiliation.
