In the early 20th century, American Jewish women took advantage of a global rise in tourism to visit British Mandate Palestine in surprisingly large numbers. Professor Melissa R. Klapper (Rowan University) shows how these women tested their ideals there, sparking new ways of thinking about themselves as Americans, women, and Jews.
