Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM)

February is Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM) which reminds us that all members of our community, without regard to disability, must have access and opportunities to contribute to Jewish life – to work live, love, play, learn and worship how and where they choose.

Greater MetroWest envisions a community made whole by the meaningful inclusion of all its members.  We are grateful to our community members, families, and partner agencies who help us build a community of belonging.

Bit of Torah 2/9/23

In this week’s Bit of Torah, Rabbi Laurence Groffman of Temple Sholom of West Essex in Cedar Grove reflects upon the Jews receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai in Parshat Yitro. G-d uses the singular form of the word “you,” although the Israelites were there in large numbers, all different and unique, just as we are today, and important reminder during Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month (JDAIM).
