Salary requirements: $60,000 – $75,000

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Upper School Chemistry Teacher located in West Orange, NJ. The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning and teaching chemistry and physics to students. Effective communication with students and other staff members is also an important aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Honors Chemistry and General Chemistry classes to high school students, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to facilitate a collaborative educational experience.
  • Integrate technology into classroom instruction and utilize differentiated teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills to foster a productive and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborate meaningfully with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Participate actively in the broader school community and engage in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in middle or high school settings.
  • Ability to start immediately (2023-2024 academic year)
  • Master’s degree and/or teaching certification preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work VISA in the United States required.
  • Ability and willingness to employ various teaching methods to engage students in group settings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to effective classroom management and student-centered learning.
  • Dedication to collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
