About this Synagogue
Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael is a welcoming Conservative congregation with a rich history of more than 120 years. Join us, and see why we are stronger than ever! Our multi-generational congregation meets the spiritual, educational and social needs of our community from our youngest to our oldest. Our vibrant services include congregational singing and music, encouraging participation and involvement. We are committed to sharing our traditions through engaging programs to experience living Jewishly with meaning and purpose at all ages. Our Shalom Yeladim Preschool, Mommy and Me, Religious School featuring Shared Days of Learning for families, and ALP (monthly High School program for 8th-12th graders), Youth Groups and Adult Education programs offers opportunities to foster friendship, community and lifelong connections. We are a caring community helping to meet the needs of our congregants and community through our Gemilut Hasadim (Caring Committee) and our Chevra Kadisha (Jewish Burial Society). Tikkun Olam Together (social action) reaches the community at large. Our award winning Sisterhood offers programming for different ages and stages, while Men’s club offers a variety of activities throughout the year. We partner with and support local organizations such as the Community Soup kitchen, Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ and others. The best way to get to know us is to meet us. We invite you to stop by, see us in action, stay for a class, schmooze at Kiddush, and feel the warmth of our congregation. If you are new to the community, we are happy to offer you and your family free High Holy Days tickets. Please join us as we welcome new families into our historic landmark building, seeking to infuse the joy and love of Judaism in all that we do.
