April Passover-Themed Shabbat Dinner: A Journey of Freedom and Fellowship

In the spirit of Passover, a festival that celebrates liberation and the triumph of freedom over oppression, Jewish Young Community (JYC) – New Jersey invites you to a special April Passover-Themed Shabbat Dinner with the Morristown Jewish Center. This evening invites reflection, connection, and shared experiences, centered around the profound Passover Seder message: “Let all who are hungry come and eat.”

OneTable registration by April 3rd is required: 30 spots FREE on OneTable, $18 thereafter.

An Evening of Shared Stories and Traditions

Date: Friday, April 5th

6:15PM: Shabbat Service – A service infused with Passover themes

7:15PM: Passover-Themed Dinner – curated by the esteemed Cantor Shana, emphasizing traditional flavors

Designed for young adults (21-39ish) seeking a deeper connection to Jewish heritage, this event will explore how we can embody the spirit of Passover in our lives today.

Exploring Tradition and Freedom: Join us as we delve into the stories of our ancestors’ march towards freedom, drawing parallels to our contemporary quests for personal and communal liberation. Through engaging discussions and shared rituals, we’ll explore what freedom means to us today and how we can support each other in our collective journey.

This special Shabbat dinner is an opportunity to forge meaningful connections, celebrate our shared heritage, and contribute to a vibrant, caring community. Your presence and participation help to weave the fabric of a strong, inclusive Jewish future.

Location: Morristown Jewish Center, 177 Speedwell Ave, Morristown, NJ 07960.
Additional Parking: Available along Sussex Ave and in the municipal lot at 21 Sussex Ave.
Registration: Complimentary for the first 30 sign-ups on OneTable; $18 thereafter. RSVP’s due April 3, 2024. To help us plan effectively, please register individually.
Contribution: Feel encouraged to bring kosher wine or beer to share, enhancing our communal experience.
