Over the summer, we hosted 25 early childhood directors and assistant directors for our first ever Early Childhood Leadership Retreat–Think New: Inspiring Visionary Leadership for Jewish Early Childhood Education. Tamara Rebick, Founder and Chief Experience Officer at Coriphery Holistic Consulting Services, led a powerful series of sessions centered on adaptive leadership—guiding educators to reflect on how they navigate change, support their teams, and model curiosity and resilience for families and children alike.
Many directors, of various stages in their careers, shared that this was the BEST professional development they’ve ever participated in.
After unanimous and enthusiastic praise for her workshops, we invited Tamara to serve as the Scholar-in-Residence for the Early Childhood Directors Network this school year. She returned last week, and once again engaged professional leaders in thoughtful exercises and change-making conversations. Participants left feeling both supported and inspired, with new tools for leading through complexity and creating environments where Jewish values come to life every day.
Participants in the summer retreat received two complimentary coaching sessions, and many chose to work with Tamara. She began meeting with them individually and helped each director identify their own leadership strengths and challenges, offering individualized strategies for communication, team-building, and professional growth.
Following both the workshop and her one-on-one coaching session, one director remarked, “I’m still on a professional high from last week and Tamara left me with deep thoughts about how I want to proceed!”
This investment in professional development is part of Federation’s broader commitment to strengthening the leadership pipeline in our early childhood centers—empowering educators not only to teach, but to lead thriving, mission-driven programs that provide excellent Jewish educational and engaging experiences for families throughout Greater MetroWest. It is made possible by the Cooperman Family Fund for a Jewish Future of the Jewish Community Foundation and donors to the UJA Annual Campaign.
