Bring in the Light Centennial Shabbat

Early Childhood Shabbat program 9:15 am with song, dance and ritual- 250 children and their teachers, parents/grandparents will be invited to attend.

All who enter the building on Feb 2nd from 9-6 will be greeted personally at the door by a JCC professional or Board Member and be invited to participate in Centennial Shabbat by lighting candles that night. All will be given a Bring in the Light Centennial Shabbat bag containing candles, blessings, an explanation about what it means to Bring in the Light as an individual and as a community on Shabbat and every day, and information about what federation and the JCC do to bring in the light for our community here, in Israel, and around the world, and what we can each do to become more involved.

Participants will learn that their individual actions and their individual light matters and that when we share our own light with our community, the collective community light shines much brighter.
