Mitzvah of the Moment: Collecting Diapers for Those in Need

Mitzvah of the Moment: Collecting Diapers for Those in Need

National Diaper Awareness Week September 27 – October 3.

Did you know that 1 in 3 families in the U.S. cannot afford diapers and must make impossible choices every day – buy food or keep their children clean and healthy. Join Jewish Federation and the Community Food Bank of NJ for the Great Big Diaper Drive. Together, we can be the CHANGE.

Here is how to help:

1. Purchase or donate your unused baby products (must be new and in original packaging):

  • Diapers, all sizes (newborn through Pull-Ups; sizes 4, 5, & 6 are especially needed) as well as adult diapers
  • Baby Wipes
  • Diaper Cream

2. Drop off your donations between September 27 – October 3  at a location convenient to you. Drop-off locations will be in the following towns:

  • Caldwell
  • Livingston
  • Randolph
  • Summit
  • Westfield

** Specific drop-off addresses and instructions will be shared upon registration.

3. Spread the word! Take a photo of your donations or your family delivering your donations and post it to the Center for Volunteerism Facebook page with the hashtags #GreatBigDiaperDrive
