Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts

Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts

Make an immediate impact on the lives of those in our community today.

On September 1, Hurricane Ida hit NJ hard and our neighbors throughout Greater MetroWest are still recovering from the storm. Our Greater MetroWest NJ Federation community is doing everything we can to help with Ida relief.

Federation leadership and our Community Relations Committee (CRC) immediately worked with the Governor’s office to help nearly 300 low-income families from Elizabeth who lost their homes in the storm. These families are still displaced and living in temporary housing. Federation’s Center for Volunteerism is asking for your help in providing Activity Kits for the children(see list of recommended items to include) and Emergency Food Kits for the families (see list of recommended items to include).

Thank you to our institutional partners, JCC of MetroWest and JCC of Central NJ, for supporting our efforts.
