Young Family Hanukkah Party

Date: Sunday, December 3
Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm (EST)

Join other Greater MetroWest young families for a festival of (laser) light!

Our celebration will include a Hanukkah-themed laser light show, decorating delicious holiday-inspired treats by Sweet Kneads Bakeshop, and more.

We will also spread the light from New Jersey to Israel with a family volunteer project coordinated with our rishonim (Israeli teen emissaries) and other Global Connections friends.

Best for children ages 0-10. Siblings welcome!

Cost is $18 per family*

Registration is now closed. Please contact Frankie McGowan at Fmcgowan@jfedgmw.org in case of cancellations.

If your child attends a school where Hanukkah may not be part of the curriculum, sign up to reserve a PJ Library “Hanuk-Kit” for your their classroom. This classroom pack is a wonderful resource for teaching about Hanukkah and other Jewish traditions.

We support and #StandWithIsrael as we continue to build a strong Jewish community here in NJ. *Proceeds from this event directly support our Emergency Fund for Israel, which provides immediate support to our partners on the ground in Israel to assist victims of terror, help rebuild damaged infrastructure, and address the unprecedented levels of trauma.

Pre-event registration required. Address provided upon registration.

Questions? Contact Frankie McGowan at fmcgowan@jfedgmw.org

Please note that some children may be sensory sensitive to the laser light show. We will provide a quiet space with PJ Library storytelling and sensory materials for those who prefer a different environment.

Security at Federation Events

The Greater MetroWest Community Security Initiative (CSI) is coordinating all security with local police departments. As with every Federation event, every available resource is being utilized to ensure our safety. Two important items of note:

  • Backpacks, luggage, or large purses will not be allowed inside. We encourage you not to bring a bag, if possible, or to bring a very small bag. All bags may be subject to search.
  • Please do not share Federation events on Facebook Live or any other livestream platform.

Building an inclusive community is a priority. Please email federation@jfedgmw.org to let us know if you require an accommodation to meaningfully participate in an event. One of our Federation professionals will reach out to you to learn more.
