Federation Impact FY23

Making an Impact

Making an impact for 100 years.

Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ convenes and leads our community to ensure the continuity and strength of the Jewish People, to support a secure Jewish and democratic State of Israel, and to care for Jews in need locally and around the world. As the largest Jewish philanthropy in New Jersey, Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest encompasses Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union, and parts of Somerset County.

Thanks to our community of donors, the 2023 UJA Annual Campaign raised more than $20.8 million, in addition to designated gifts of $11 million through Federation and from JCF fundholders. In total, along with grants from JCF fundholders to Jewish organizations in Greater MetroWest, Israel, and national and international Jewish organizations, we provided $60 million in impact. During FY23, we also raised tens of millions of dollars in endowments and legacy gifts through our Centennial Campaign, moving our community closer to our goal of raising $250 million to enhance today and secure the future of our Greater MetroWest Jewish community.

This following provides a comprehensive overview of how Federation allocates funds across various initiatives within the Jewish community. Federation’s commitment to community engagement is evident through its support for programs and partners in Greater MetroWest NJ and overseas, with a focus on strengthening connections to Jewish life and learning while nurturing community identity.
