Women’s Philanthropy Mission to Portugal Info Session

Discover Portugal’s rich Jewish heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture. Enjoy meaningful connections, insightful history, great food, and unforgettable moments like a night on the town in Lisbon!

Highlights will include*:

  • Lisbon: Walk through historic Jewish quarters, meet the Israeli Ambassador, and enjoy a Fado show (traditional musical performance).
  • Porto: Explore the city’s Jewish history, enjoy a boat ride along the Douro River, and savor local cuisine.
  • Douro Valley: Visit a renowned winery, take in stunning vineyard views, and relax on a river cruise.
  • Tomar: Discover one of Portugal’s oldest synagogues and learn about the town’s Jewish legacy.

Cost: $4,100 per person, land only, based on double occupancy, $670 additional for single supplement. Payment due by check or credit card (processing fee applies).

Designated Flights (two one way flights):
Newark to Porto: United #144 Sunday, October 19 at 9:55 p.m. Arrives Porto on October 20 at 9:45 a.m.
Lisbon to Newark: United #65 Friday, October 24 at 10:25 a.m. Arrives Newark on October 24 at 1:10 p.m.

Registration deadline is May 16.

This mission welcomes individuals and/or households who make a minimum gift of $1,000 individually or as a family, to the 2026 UJA Annual Campaign. Your annual gift supports Federation’s lifesaving work around the globe and at home in New Jersey.

Space is limited. Travel insurance required.

Whenever possible, food served on Federation missions will have supervision from a recognized board and certification listed here or approved by Vaad Harabonim of MetroWest, NJ. When it is difficult to arrange food with supervision from these recognized boards and certifications, then food provided to the group will be only dairy and pareve (no meat or shellfish) and an alternative option of packaged food with kashrut supervision will be made available whenever possible.
