Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, begins on Thursday, December 7 at sundown and continues through Thursday, December 14. Chanukah focuses largely on the meaning of civil liberties and religious freedom and has served as a source of this message for nearly twenty-two centuries. The Menorah contains a universal message for all people of all faiths – a message of freedom, of good over evil, of light over darkness.
