Pride Shabbat- Congregation Shomrei Emunah

Date: Friday, June 9
Time: 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm (EDT)
Congregation Shomrei Emunah

Shomrei celebrates Pride! On the weekend of Montclair Pride, please join us in song and prayer at a joyful musical service incorporating special melodies and themes of LGBTQ+ Pride. This heartfelt service will be co-led by Shomrei student Vi Taft in honor of their b’nai-mitzvah, Rabbi Julie Roth, Student Rabbi Lily Lucey, Shomrei member Debra Caplan, and guest musician Oren Neiman. For their b’nai-mitzvah project, Vi organized a rally in downtown Montclair to raise awareness for trans rights and collected over $3000 for the Trevor Project: https://montclairlocal.news/students-from-montclairs-glenfield-middle-school-raise-2000-to-prevent-lgbtq-suicide/
