Talking to Young Children About Race

Date: Wednesday, May 18
Time: 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm (EDT)
Zoom

REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED

Young children pick up on everything — even injustice and racism. In this one-hour interactive virtual workshop, the authors of the book Our Skin: A First Conversation About Race, Megan Madison and Jessica Ralli, will teach adults age-appropriate ways how to talk about these important topics with children ages 8 and under.

We’ve heard from parents in our community that they need support talking to their kids about race. In advance of Juneteenth, and the anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, we know these conversations come up. This workshop can help you develop the skills you need to keep these conversations going all year round.
