Director: Bess Kargman 2025, USA,
91 minutes English with English subtitles
Documentary Diane Warren is one of the most prolific songwriters of all time, with a four-decade track record of writing mega-hits for superstar performers (“If I Could Turn Back Time,” “Because You Loved Me,” “How Do I Live,” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” to name only a few). Boasting 16 Oscar nominations (Warren is the most-nominated artist without a competitive Oscar win; she received an Honorary Oscar in 2023) along with Grammy, Emmy, and Golden Globe awards, Warren has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In this intimate documentary, filled with Warren’s signature humor, audiences get a rare glimpse into her life, exceptional work ethic, and underdog journey from Jewish, neurodivergent music lover to the pinnacle of the American music industry. Featuring interviews with Cher, Gloria Estefan, Quincy Jones, Common, Jennifer Hudson, Kesha, and many more, Diane Warren: Relentless is an inspiring portrait of an artist with nothing left to prove who nevertheless keeps pushing herself and her art forward.
