When the theater club at a Bronx public high school is defunded, their dedicated teacher hatches a scheme to pay for it: with the help of a fellow teacher (who is secretly in recovery for a gambling addiction), he will hustle an underground casino run by Hasids, playing an Israeli card game called Yaniv. Enjoy this crowd-pleasing new comedy and then learn to play the game with the “Yaniv” filmmakers over latkes, dessert, and drinks!
