We’re preserving the rich history of our Jewish cemeteries in Newark by documenting gravestones to accompany burial information in the JewishGen Worldwide Burial Registry, while also ensuring that loved ones can be visited from afar.
This mitzvah ensures that future generations can connect with and respect the past and is a powerful way to fulfill the Jewish value of Kavod HaMet, honoring the dead.
This event is open to volunteers of all ages.
