In commemoration of the 80th International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a film screening of “Ladies Tailor” in Russian with English subtitles, that will take place at Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Library Auditorium at Teaneck campus on Monday, January 27th at 7pm, and in the Orangerie at Florham campus on Tuesday, January 28th at 7pm. The program is hosted by the office of the University Academic Provost, Dr. Benjamin Rifkin, and co-hosted by the FDU Library.
The 1990 film “Ladies Tailor” tells the story of the last 24 hours of the lives of a Jewish tailor and his family in Kyiv prior to the Nazi massacre of Jews at Babi Yar in 1941. Provost and Professor Russian Dr. Rifkin will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion.
