Newer Teacher Fellowship
The Newer Teacher Fellowship is open to educators who have been teaching for less than five years. Participants will attend six monthly virtual training sessions with educators from across the country, plus four in-person sessions with local colleagues. Topics to be covered in the virtual sessions include classroom management and community building, social-emotional-spiritual learning, inclusive classrooms, and more. In-person sessions will provide opportunities to reflect upon what’s been learned and discuss practical applications. As a culminating project, each fellow will design a workshop to present to colleagues at their congregational school.
Dates of workshops: In Person, 1-3 p.m. on 9/18/22, 2/12/23, 4/30/23, and July date/time TBD for a camp visit; Virtual, 7-9 p.m. on 11/13/22, 12/11/22, 1/8/23, 2/5/23, 3/5/23, 4/2/23

Participants will learn from one another, share resources, and receive ongoing professional development from experts in the field of disability inclusion. Each participating school, upon completion of the series, will be eligible to receive a small grant to use towards their accessibility and inclusion efforts.
Dates of workshops: In person: 7-9 p.m. on 9/13/22, 11/1/22, 1/10/23, 3/14/23, 5/2/23
