Spring Mitzvah Mania

The teen leaders from Iris Teen Mitzvot have planned three wonderful service projects for teens. Register for one, two, or all three.

Cooking with Lester — rescheduled
Thursday, June 2, 7-8 p.m.
Lester Senior Housing, Whippany

Join us at Lester Senior Housing as we prepare and share healthy snacks of granola bars and fruit salad along with the senior residents.

Honoring the Fallen
Monday, May 23, 7-8 p.m.
JCC MetroWest, West Orange

Prior to Memorial Day, help us honor Gold Star families that have experienced a loss of an immediate family member who died as a result of military service. We’ll hear from the sister of a fallen soldier about the importance of honoring our soldiers and will write notes to send to Jewish Gold Star families in honor of Memorial Day.

Gardening at the Newark Conservancy
Tuesday, May 31, 4-6 p.m.
Hawthorne Ave. Farm, 446 Hawthorne Ave., Newark

Our afternoon might include planting, weeding, mulching, building raised beds, compost work, and more. Don’t have a green thumb? The Conservancy’s professional staff will show you the ropes! We’ll meet at the farm. Feel free to join us at any time between 4:00 and 6:00!
