J-TEEN UNIVERSITY

JTEEN University (JTEEN U) is one of our most unique programs. We come to your school or congregation and teach classes on topics YOU want learn. Is there a particular aspect of Judaism you want to know more about? We will do our best to create a class — or a whole curriculum — on that topic! For more information on JTEEN U classes contact JTEEN Director Yoni Glatt at yglatt@jfedgmw.org or call 973-929-2975.

Check out our Calendar for a list of upcoming JTEEN U classes that are FREE and open to all teens.

Stay tuned for information on how to register your congregational school for JTEEN U classes. Questions? Contact Yoni Glatt at yglatt@jfedgmw.org or call 973-929-2975.

SENIORITIS — Summer Internships That Matter

Are you a Jewish teen in high school finishing your Junior or Senior year? Do you know how important a quality internship is for your college applications? SeniorITIS  (Senior Institute for Teens in Service) is a JTEEN program designed to pair you with a top-notch organization that provides a valuable, real-world, PAID internship experience with a Jewish twist. We work individually with every member of the program to make a much more rewarding and enriching experience.

Through SeniorITIS you will:
• Be mentored by a Jewish professional in your area of interest
• Earn up to 15 PAID hours a week (While you will only be paid for up to 15 work hours each week, you may put in additional time to learn more on the job if your employer permits.)
• Gain hands-on, invaluable experience
• Create long-lasting professional relationships

Past SeniorITIS participants have been given several exciting placements at some of the finest companies in the area including Behrman House Publishing, Israel Bonds, The New Jersey Jewish News, Cadett Marketing, Keller Williams Realty, Online Computers, The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, and many more!

Each intern’s responsibilities will vary based upon their position. We work with your employer to ensure a beneficial learning experience which is mutual for all parties.  What’s more, you will have the opportunity to participate in interactive seminars teaching workplace skills, attend inspiring presentations about Jewish ethics in the workplace, and regroup each week with your fellow SeniorITIS peers at our Whippany, NJ campus.  Although you may choose to work longer hours to gain experience, the SeniorITIS program will pay you for a maximum of 15 hours a week at an hourly rate of $10.00*.
