Teen Holocaust Survivor Ambassadors

Keeping their stories alive

Are you a former b’nai mitzvah Twin with a Survivor participant or have learned from a Holocaust survivor through another program? If so, you’re invited to apply to be a Greater MetroWest Teen Holocaust Ambassador.  

In this role you will learn the art of storytelling from Federation’s Director of Holocaust Education, Ilyse Shainbrown, and David Winitsky, Founder and Executive Artistic Director of the Jewish Plays Project. You will gain valuable performance, public speaking, and storytelling skills and carry the torch of keeping their stories alive.  

Six required sessions:  

Sunday, March 17, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Aidekman Jewish Community Campus, Whippany
Tuesday, March 26, 6-8 p.m., JCC MetroWest, West Orange
Sunday, April 7, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Aidekman Jewish Community Campus, Whippany
Tuesday April 16, 6-8 p.m., JCC MetroWest, West Orange
Sunday, April 28, 7-8 p.m., Zoom
Ambassadors will participate in Federation’s Yom HaShoah Commemoration on May 5.
