Committed to maintaining the vibrancy and continuity of our people worldwide, we build meaningful bonds between our Jewish community and our partners in Israel and around the globe.

Global Connections is the Federation department that focuses on strengthening Jewish Peoplehood and Partnerships between the Greater MetroWest Jewish community, Israel, and Jewish communities around the world.

The department is comprised of three committees:

  • The Mishlachat Committee (Hebrew for delegation) welcomes and supports our community shlichim and rishonim (young Israeli emissaries who spend a year in our community between high school and their military service), and works with the mishlachat to maximize its impact across our community.  Meet our mishlachat
  • The Israel Programming Committee envisions and implements programs throughout Greater MetroWest that celebrate Israeli culture and expose our community to opportunities to learn and think deeply about the land, the people, and the state of Israel.
  • The Living Bridges Committee nurtures meaningful relationships between the Greater MetroWest community members, Israeli citizens, and Jews around the world. This committee leverages the Israel Partnership Network to sustain ongoing dialogue and encounters with the members of our partner communities (Cherkassy, Arad, Ofakim/Merchavim, Kibbutz Erez, Rishon LeZion, Hurfeish).
