About this Synagogue
For over 100 years Temple Beth-El Mekor Chayim (TBEMC) has provided for the needs of the Jewish community of Union county. As a Conservative, Egalitarian and Diverse congregation, we are committed to the beauty of traditional Judaism while being a fully inclusive and modern congregation.
We have a newly renovated sanctuary, social hall, youth lounge, kosher kitchen, school wing and a small chapel for more intimate services. The building is fully accessible including: hearing assistive devices for our sanctuary, large print siddurim/prayer books, accessible restroom and lifts for both the building and inside the sanctuary.
We offer education, culture, social events, spiritual enrichment, personal growth, and positive volunteer experiences for our members. There are many opportunities to read Torah and lead services and the resources to learn these skills. We have an active Kadima and USY program to continue to engage our youth prior to and after B’nai Mitzvah. Our Caring Committee looks after those in need in our community and offers exciting monthly programs and lunch that engage our senior community.
What really sets TBEMC apart from other congregations is how warm and welcoming we are. On your first visit, we will want to get to know you. After a few visits, you will make new friends.
