The Joint Chaplaincy Committee of Greater MetroWest NJ services hospitals, nursing homes, senior residences, hospices, county mental health facilities, group homes for people with developmental disabilities, assisted living facilities, and all five housing complexes of the Jewish Community Housing Corporation (Federation Plaza, West Orange; Federation Towers, Irvington; Village Apartments, South Orange; B’nai B'rith Housing, South Orange; and Lester Housing, Whippany), as well as Federation Plaza and Federation Towers. It also provides crisis chaplains in partnership with the Red Cross Spiritual Care Collaboration, Disaster Spiritual Care and NVOAD, among others. Its chaplains visit Jewish individuals, offering them and their families pastoral and spiritual care and guidance. Group programming is also provided when appropriate.
The Joint Chaplaincy Committee is also the central office for the National Association of Jewish Chaplains.
