The Religious School at Temple Beth-El Mekor Chayim (TBEMC), a Conservative egalitarian synagogue located in Cranford, NJ. We are looking for an engaging Jewish educators for our dynamic Religious School for the 2022 – 2023 school year. We are looking for energetic teachers to fill the following positions:

—- 3rd grade teacher on Tuesdays from 4-6pm and Sunday from 9 am-12 pm.
—- 6th grade teacher on Sundays from 9 am -12 pm.

At our TBEMC Religious School we teach our children to understand and appreciate the wisdom in our heritage, letting it shape the children’s hearts, minds, morals, and values. We strive to develop positive attitudes toward Judaism, to give them a sense of commitment to their tradition, Eretz Israel and to the practices of Conservative Judaism. Our students learn everything from Hebrew reading and Jewish Holidays to Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation with a curriculum specially designed to be age appropriate. We are proud to have faculty enriching our children’s educational experience.

The Religious School at Temple Beth-El Mekor Chayim (TBEMC) is seeking Jewish educators for several anticipated openings in Grades K – 7 for the 2020-21 school year. Classes meet on Sundays from 9 am to 12 pm and Tuesdays from 4 – 6 pm. Experience teaching in a Religious School setting is preferred, but not required. Teachers should have experience reading and writing in Hebrew, knowledge of prayers (t’fillot), Shabbat services, and basic Jewish literacy. We seek teachers who bring joy, creativity and a love of Jewishness to the classroom, who are skilled at engaging students with a wide variety of educational techniques, including games, experiential and other forms of activity-based learning. Skill Required
Teachers should have experience reading and writing in Hebrew, knowledge of prayers (t’fillot), Shabbat services, and basic Jewish literacy. Required Qualifications
Degree in education or related field preferred.
