Greater MetroWest is looking to expand its most innovative and exciting department! Join the team of professionals who provide cutting-edge opportunities to the next generation of leaders of the Jewish community. We are seeking a Development Associate to support the NextDor team (focused on adults with youngish families generally in the age range of~25-45ish).  The Associate will help create awesome events, foster relationships, develop leaders and assist in growing the NextDor annual fundraising campaign.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Alongside a team of professionals and lay leaders, implement an outreach & fundraising campaign for the NextDor community that educates the audience about the annual campaign and maximizes the number of people contributing
  • Work collaboratively with the NextDor Director to brainstorm, plan and execute programming and events for the 45ish and under-crowd
  • Assist in developing & executing a multi-channel communications plan for the NextDor audience to ensure that they are informed of our work, events, and provided inspirational content
  • Responsible for campaign portfolio of 75+ donors who make gifts up to $1,000
  • Working with Director of NextDor, serve as liaison to Honeymoon Israel program
  • Assist in planning and recruiting for GMW centennial activities, including fundraising activities and a mission to Israel in July 2023
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to plan NextDor programming that tells inspiring stories of our mission and work through innovative content delivery and events (PJ Library, Volunteerism, Women’s Philanthropy and Business Networking)
  • Understand and meet the needs of lay leaders, the young adult community and the Greater MetroWest community
     

REQUIREMENT SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Preferred areas of hands-on experience: business, marketing, social media/communications, fundraising, Jewish communal professional
  • An excellent communicator and storyteller, understands how to create clear, simple communications that catches the attention of an audience on the go
  • A charismatic go-getter, who is comfortable working a room, and able to problem solve autonomously
  • Able to talk to anyone and excels at understanding peoples’ interests and engaging them
  • Super organized and excellent follow though
  • Digitally savvy and comfortable figuring things out
  • Mirror Federation’s values of being a mensch, having integrity, collaborating, being community-minded, passionate, resourceful, and accountable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
  • Familiarity with and understanding of the Greater MetroWest community and/or National Jewish community is a plus
  • Work some evenings and weekends
