Day Habilitation Program Assistant/Billing Administrator- JCC MetroWest
If making an impact in the lives of adults with a range of abilities/special needs appeals to you, JCC MetroWest’s Special Services Department has an opening for a part-time Day Habilitation Program Assistant/Billing Administrator (18 hours/week). Supervised by the Special Servies Assistant Director and Day Habilitation Program Leader, the Day Habilitation Program Assistant/Billing Administrator works alongside a program leader on Wednesdays and Fridays with a group of adults having special needs in a dynamic community center setting by implementing activities that motivate participants and strengthen their social and life experiences. The third workday per week consists of billing support involving data entry and reviewing Excel spreadsheets.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in implementation of activities of all program activities
- Maintain an effective system of group management that encourages participants to engage in appropriate interactions with peers and work towards individual outcomes
- Communicate regularly with the Group Leader regarding needs for materials and supplies to support the activities
- Model appropriate interactions and assist participants to interact with others and engage in program activities
- Assist in taking daily attendance
- Report ALL illnesses or injuries to the Group Leader.
- Escort participants to and from activities throughout the building
- Provide supervision to ensure safety for all participants
- Document for assigned participants each day using the Formstack platform
- Attend staff meetings and staff trainings as indicated
- Complete required annual training
- Eye to detail when checking billing information
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to track billing and payment data
- Operate common office equipment, such as PC computer, copier, scanner
- Provide administrative support to the Special Services Department
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Other Responsibilities and Information:
- Use of cell phones and other electronics should be kept to a minimum
- Staff should dress in a casual and professional manner
Skills Required:
- Experience working with Excel and performing data entry responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate and be at least 21 years of age
- Various safety checks including but not limited to drug testing, fingerprinting, CARI, Central Registry, and both Medicaid and NJ Treasury database checks will be conducted
